Lisbon Botanical Garden is an oasis in the city. During our 6 days in Lisbon we visited this enchanting garden!

The Jardim Botanico in the Principe Real district is almost invisible from the surrounding streets. Laid out between 1858 and 1873, it was once considered the best botanical garden in Southern Europe. Nowadays it still has one of the largest collections of subtropical vegetation in Europe.

In the garden I discovered the biggest of my favorite Ginkgo tree, I have ever seen. a m a z i n g

We spend hours in the urban jungle, it is one of the most calming spots in the city.

    1. Merci Paula! We stayed for hours in the garden, so peaceful and quiet. I've been staring at the gigantic Ginkgo and afterwards had drinks at the nice 'mobile bar' at the entrance. Boa tarde!
